Impressions by a participant after the TC:
“Ladies and gentlemen,
Being the last but hopefully not the worst participant to write on this e-wall, I’d like you to
close your eyes and imagine the picture I’ll paint to your brain…
A tired young person is being dragged through several airports until finally reaching home,
after 36 hours. Then, two minutes later he left for work, facing the boss who was shouting:
You are late!
Upon debriefing his situation with his imaginary steaming group after a 4-hour shift, he
concluded that being sick during the summer is clearly a form of social injustice, because not
possessing the key competences of eating and drinking made him a disadvantaged youngster.
He also had to learn sign-language instantly, as his swollen throat left him unable to voice his
opinion to the society. The weather outside was more than 40 degrees, so he was looking for a
creative open space to have an oxygen break and reflect.
After clarifying his aims and objectives for the next day, the young man went to sleep with his
TEDdy bear and his princess Naommie, thinking that on waking up he would feel marvellous…
– Actually not –
*The story above may or may not be related to reality.”
