“What Do I Do With My Anger? – 2nd Edition. An International Training Course About Percussion And Drumming Techniques As Tools For Violence Prevention In Youth Work”, Lützensömmern, 31/10 – 08/11/2010.
Resulting from the experience of “What Do I Do With My Anger? An International Training Course About Dance As A Tool For Violence Prevention In Youth Work”, which took place from 23 – 30/11/2009 in Lützensömmern, the 2nd edition should have contributed the further deepening of the participants’ knowledge about the prevention of violence in youth work. The project provided options on how high-quality youth projects can be arranged in future within the local organizations (the participants of the project came from 16 different European countries) to prevent violence among juveniles. The promotion of European cooperation in the domain of youth work turned out as a positive side-effect.
Besides the constant exchange of experience and an European perspective on the question of violence, networks for the participants exchange and the development of future options in the prevention of violence with percussion should have been established through this project. Due to the annual preferences of the YOUTH IN ACTION programme this project had been supported by the “European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion”. By the adaption of the topic violence with the methods of percussion new ways and impetuses on violence prevention in youth work have been demonstrated and introduced. Further information on the project you can find here.
This project has been financed and supported by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union:
