2014 – Youth Booster! Fighting the lack of prospects – Empowering European Youth Work through self-development, Weimar, Germany, Summer 2014

The Youth Exchange „Youth Booster ! Fighting the lack of prospects – Empowering European Youth throughSelf-Development“ aimed at empowering young European migrants between 16 and 25 years old, encouraging them to develop creative and alternative perspectives to walk their paths in the future. 36 young people from Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Spain, Italy and Greece where invited to Erfurt, Germany from June 6th until June 14th 2014 to share their experiences, identify their competences and to discover non-formal education as an opportunity for self-development, employment and social cohesion.

Non-formal educational tools where used to empower and inspire participants and to learn through intercultural experiences. Emphasis was given on personal and goup reflection. The Youth Exchange made use of various methods such as creative working groups, simulations, local actions and outdoor games as well as open space methods. Conceptual core ideas where, to make participants responsible for their learning out come, thus enabling an experience in which individuals could take responsibility for their own learning success.
