Partnership building activities support the creation of a network of those who are active in
youth work and youth organizations. The main aims consist in strengthening the exchange of
experiences, expertise and good practice between the participants and develop ideas for
activities which may lead to the establishment of long-lasting, high quality projects and
partnerships.
The Partnership building activity “East- West on intercultural dialogue“ took place in July
2013 in Kraków, Poland. The project gathered 24 leaders and youth workers from Czech
Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Spain which were experienced in
international and multicultural cooperation with former USSR countries. This PBA dealt
mainly with the following aspects in Youth work:
- understanding the concept of YiA,
- establishing new partnerships within networking sessions
- creating cooperation strategies
- management of YiA projects
- coming up with ideas related to YiA projects
The meeting created a space for discussions about past initiatives undertaken by EU’s
NGOs in favor of post soviet region – their successes, problems and everyday functioning.
The program was planned to establish strong and high quality partnerships that will create
initiatives for the benefit of intercultural dialogue with the East.
